Accident in Shields causes accident, blocks lane

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A two-vehicle accident in Sheilds has blocked the outside lane on I-35, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred right after 7:30 a.m. Monday morning. Officials have not released to the public yet what caused the accident or the extent of the injuries of those involved.

3 dead in fiery, head-on collision involving multiple semis

LOGAN COUNTY, OK – Three people were killed in a fiery head-on collision that involved multiple semis Tuesday, reports News 9. The names of the people who died have not been released at this time.

The accident happened south of Guthrie on southbound Interstate 35. One semi was towing another when a third semi struck them, causing a major fire.

Roads were wet at the time of the accident but the Highway Patrol said it is unclear if the crash was weather-related at this time.

All lanes on southbound lanes I-35 were south of mile marker 149 were closed for seven hours following the accident.
