Hit-and-run driver runs over person after finding out McDonald’s is closed

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A hit-and-run driver allegedly struck a person in a McDonald’s drive-thru in southeast Oklahoma city after finding out that the restaurant was closed, according to KOCO News.

The incident occurred at a McDonald’s drive-thru near SE 29th Street and I-35, after a white man driving a maroon, four-door pickup truck was told that the restaurant was closed. He grew angry after this, then sped away. In the process, he ran over another person’s feet and fled the scene.

The victim was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Authorities continue to search for the hit-and-run driver and to investigate the accident.

23-year-old woman dead after being hit by car in Sallisaw

SALLISAW, OK – A 23-year-old woman was killed after being hit by a car in the Sallisaw area early yesterday morning, according to Tulsa World.

The crash happened at around 1:20 a.m. on Highway 59, about a mile north of Sallisaw, when 23-year-old Sallisaw resident Sarah Kay Lawson was hit by a 2018 Dodge Journey.

Lawson was taken to the hospital in Sallisaw, and there she was pronounced dead.

The accident remains under investigation.

3 men arrested after leading police on chase, crashing into 2 vehicles

TULSA, OK – Three people, including a fugitive from Pennsylvania, were taken into police custody after they led authorities on a pursuit in an allegedly stolen car and crashed into two other vehicles in Tulsa yesterday.

According to News on 6, the pursuit began near I-44 and 21st Street and involved the allegedly stolen vehicle colliding with two other cars while trying to flee.

Officers managed to take the three men, who identified as Patrick Patterson, Ramon McBee III, and Toby Hill, into police custody near S Wheeling Avenue and 21st Street.

Patterson reportedly had open warrants from Pennsylvania.

No injuries were immediately reported.

1 dead, 1 injured in crash on W 51st St in Sand Springs

SAND SPRINGS, OK – Authorities have released more information on the fatal crash on W 51st Street in Sand Springs on Wednesday night, according to KTUL.

The crash happened east of Sand Springs at W 51st Street S at about 8 p.m., when a 1969 Ford F-100 crashed.

42-year-old Stillwater resident David Crockett, a passenger in the vehicle, died at the scene.

The driver, who was not immediately identified, was taken to the hospital with non-critical injuries.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.

Man killed in single-vehicle rollover crash in Ellis County

SHATTUCK, OK (ELLIS COUNTY) – A man was killed in a rollover crash on a county road in Shattuck this morning, according to OKC FOX.

The crash happened on County Road 177 northbound after 38-year-old Shattuck resident Jesse Wales IV missed a turn. His vehicle went off the side of the road, then overturned.

Wales and his passenger were ejected during the crash.

Authorities pronounced Wales dead at the scene.

The condition of his passenger was not immediately available.

19-year-old and 20-year-old killed in head-on crash in Duncan

DUNCAN, OK – Two people were killed in a multi-vehicle head-on collision on Highway 81 in Duncan on Thursday evening, according to KFOR News.

The crash happened on northbound US-81 at about 7:30 p.m., as the 20-year-old driver of a 2006 Mini Cooper, identified as Kennedy Caldwell, attempted to pass a 2002 Toyota Camry.

In the process, the Mini Cooper collided head-on with a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado coming in the opposite direction. The Camry then crashed into the Mini Cooper.

Caldwell died at the scene. Her passenger, Connor Slocum, 19, was also declared dead at the scene of the crash.

The other two drivers were not reported as injured.

Injuries reported in crash on Turner Turnpike near Stroud

STROUD, OK (LINCOLN COUNTY) – At least one person was hurt in a collision on the Turner Turnpike near Stroud on Friday afternoon, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred on eastbound Turner Turnpike, near mile marker 177, at about 3:45 p.m.

At least one person was injured in the crash.

Authorities closed eastbound lanes of the highway as they investigated and were diverting traffic to the Chandler exit in the meanwhile.

The identity of the victim and the cause of the crash are not available at this time.

NEWALLA, OK – One person was injured after a military vehicle crashed and overturned on I-40 this afternoon, according to KFOR.

The collision happened near the Kickapoo Turnpike at about 2 p.m., when a military vehicle hauling a storage container crashed and overturned.

The driver of the vehicle was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

A crane was brought in to help clear the scene from the roadway.

All three lanes of I-40 were blocked for multiple hours following the accident.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A truck went up in flames after it collided with another tractor-trailer on I-40 last night, according to KFOR.

The collision happened on I-40, near the Amarillo Junction for I-44, before 10 p.m., as a truck hauling other vehicles collided with another tractor-trailer.

The vehicle-hauling truck burst into flames following the crash.

No injuries were immediately reported.

Woman dead, 2 injured after inattentive driving crash in Caddo County

EAKLY, OK (CADDO COUNTY) – A 70-year-old woman was killed, and two other people were injured in a crash in Caddo County yesterday that has been linked with inattentive driving.

According to KFOR, the crash occurred on Highway 58, south of County Road 1210, and southwest of Eakly, at about 1:30 p.m.

The driver of a 2002 GMC Yukon, a 23-year-old woman from Weatherford, reportedly looked away from the road while speaking to the victim, 70-year-old Donna G. Chasenah, also of Weatherford.

The car went off the right side of the highway in the process. The driver overcorrected the vehicle, causing it to overturn multiple times, then land in a ditch.

Chasenah was ejected about 80 feet from the vehicle. She was taken to the hospital in Oklahoma City, where she later died of her injuries.

Another passenger, a 24-year-old man from Weatherford, was pinned within the wreckage for about a half-hour. He and the driver were taken to the hospital, then later released.

Authorities have determined that inattentive driving was the cause of the crash.
