Update: Man fatally struck by vehicle in late-night crash on Turner Tpk

KELLYVILLE, OK (CREEK COUNTY) – Authorities have released more information on a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred on the Turner Turnpike in Creek County late Friday night.

This is an update to a previous news story.

According to News on 6, 44-year-old Donovan Knippenburg was killed in the accident, which occurred on the Turner Turnpike near mile marker 212 at about 11:07 p.m. Friday.

Knippenburg was pronounced dead at the scene after being struck by a vehicle.

The crash led to a partial closure of the roadway as authorities worked the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

10-year-old hospitalized after being hit by car in NW OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A 10-year-old child was hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle in northwest Oklahoma City on Friday, according to OKC FOX.

The crash happened near the intersection of MacArthur Boulevard and NW 10th.

The child was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive their injuries.

Man fatally struck by hit-and-run driver on OK-39 in Cleveland County

CLEVELAND COUNTY, OK – A man was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver near the Cleveland County and Pottawatomie County line this morning, according to KOCO News.

The crash occurred around 5:30 a.m., about 8.5 miles southeast of Etowah and 6 miles northwest of Wanette, on State Highway 39 and Okay Road.

A man was struck by a motorist, then left for dead in the roadway, where a passing driver discovered his body.

Authorities are asking those with any information on the crash to contact them at 405-425-2323.

Two people killed in pedestrian crash in southeast OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A man and a woman were killed after being struck by a vehicle in southeast Oklahoma City this evening, according to News 9.

The crash happened on SE 44th Street, near S Phillips Avenue, and was reported by News 9 just before 9 p.m.

The two victims, whose identities have yet to be released, died of injuries sustained during the crash.

The driver remained at the scene after the accident occurred.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
