Woman fatally run over by her own van in West OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A woman was fatally run over by her own van after she got out of the vehicle on Friday afternoon in west Oklahoma City, according to KFOR.

The crash happened near the intersection of Czech Hall Road and SW 15th Street, after a woman is believed to have forgotten to put her vehicle in park before getting out of her van. She was then run over by her vehicle.

The woman was killed in the accident.

Update: Teen bicyclist dies after Thursday’s hit-and-run collision

BROKEN ARROW, OK – The 19-year-old bicyclist who was struck in Thursday morning’s hit-and-run in Broken Arrow has succumbed to his injuries, according to KTUL.

This is an update to a previous news story.

19-year-old Dallas Lowry was taken off life support at about 1 p.m. Friday. He was struck by a driver at about 4:45 a.m. Thursday near Elm Street and 111th Street as he was riding his bike to work.

Kylah Pumphrey, the suspected driver, then allegedly fled the scene.

She has been taken into police custody and is facing charges of leaving the scene of an accident and driving without a license.

Lowry was an organ donor, and his organs will go to help eight people in need of medical treatment.

Woman hospitalized after street racers force driver off I-44

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – One person was hospitalized after a driver was run off the road during an alleged street race on I-44 last night, according to News 9.

The accident happened near Woodward and SW 41st Street, as four vehicles were reportedly racing.

An uninvolved driver was run off the highway, where they lost control of the vehicle, and overturned into a backyard nearby.

A female passenger was hospitalized with severe injuries.

2 Midwest City men dead, woman hospitalized following I-40 wrong-way crash

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Two men are dead, and another person has been hospitalized following a wrong-way crash on I-40 early this morning, according to KFOR.

The collision occurred on I-40 near mile marker 166 at 3:37 a.m., as the driver of a 2015 Dodge pickup truck, 91-year-old Midwest resident Montrel Shipley, was headed eastbound in the westbound lanes of the highway.

The Dodge crashed head-on into a 2005 Suzuki SUV being driven by 45-year-old Midwest City man Paul Flemings.

Shipley and Flemings were pinned for about 45 minutes within the wreckage before being extricated by emergency crews. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

A female passenger was taken to the hospital for the treatment of internal torso injuries. She was not immediately identified.
