TULSA, OK – At least one person was injured in a collision on I-244 in Tulsa yesterday afternoon, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The crash happened on northbound I-244, near 23rd Street, before 1:25 p.m. It injured at least one person and blocked the roadway.

Authorities have not yet released the cause of the crash.

TULSA, OK – A man was killed in an apartment fire in midtown Tulsa last night, according to KTUL.

The fire broke out at Abbey Road Apartments, located near E 41st Street and S Peoria Avenue at about 9:30 p.m.

A man was killed in the blaze.

The fire has been ruled as an accident.

Person hospitalized after car overturns into riverbed in Luther

LUTHER, OK – One person was taken to the hospital after a car overturned into a riverbed in Luther on Thursday, according to OKC FOX.

The crash happened on NE 164th Street near Dobbs Road after a dark-colored sedan crashed and overturned, landing in a riverbed.

The driver was ejected during the crash. After being assisted by emergency crews, she was taken to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash at this time.

1 dead, 1 injured in crash on W 51st St in Sand Springs

SAND SPRINGS, OK – Authorities have released more information on the fatal crash on W 51st Street in Sand Springs on Wednesday night, according to KTUL.

The crash happened east of Sand Springs at W 51st Street S at about 8 p.m., when a 1969 Ford F-100 crashed.

42-year-old Stillwater resident David Crockett, a passenger in the vehicle, died at the scene.

The driver, who was not immediately identified, was taken to the hospital with non-critical injuries.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.

22-year-old dump truck driver fatally struck by train in Canadian County

OKARCHE, OK (CANADIAN COUNTY) – A 22-year-old truck driver was fatally struck by a train in Canadian County yesterday, according to KFOR.

The crash occurred on 234th Street NW, near Okarche, when the driver of a 2001 Freightliner dump truck attempted to drive across a set of railroad tracks. The truck was then struck by a Union Pacific train, which pushed the vehicle about a third of a mile before stopping.

22-year-old Warr Acres man Hugo J. Barrera, who was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt at the time, was ejected from the vehicle.

Barrera was taken to the hospital in Kingfisher, where he was later pronounced dead.

Man facing charges after crashing car with baby riding on his chest

TULSA, OK – A man suspected of being under the influence is facing charges after crashing a car while driving with a baby on his chest in Tulsa last night, according to OKC FOX.

The crash happened near Memorial Drive and 31st Street at about 6 p.m., after driver Donald Ramsey crashed his vehicle.

A 6-month-old baby being held by Ramsey was injured during the crash, likely due to the impact of the airbag. The infant’s injuries are not expected to be life-threatening.

Ramsey, who reportedly admitted to using cannabis and prescription medication before the crash, is facing a charge of child endangerment in connection with the crash.

Woman with limited mobility killed in house fire in NW OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A woman with limited mobility was reportedly killed in a house fire in northwest Oklahoma City early this morning, according to KOCO News.

The fire broke out at a home located near NW 23rd Street in the 2600 block of Redmond Avenue at about 12:30 a.m.

A woman with limited mobility who was relying on home oxygen was found dead in the bedroom of the home.

No other people were hurt in the blaze.

Authorities stated that there were no working fire alarms within the building.

The fire, which caused about $90,000 of damage, remains under investigation.

Injuries reported in early-morning crash on I-40 and Rockwell Ave

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – At least one person was injured in a collision on I-40 in west Oklahoma City early this morning, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.


The crash occurred on westbound I-40, near the off-ramp for Rockwell Avenue, before 1:50 a.m.

At least one person suffered injuries in the crash.

The accident prompted the closure of the off-ramp for a short time as investigators worked the scene.

By 3 a.m., the roadway was clear.

Update: 14-year-old killed, 2 others injured in fatal Kay Co. truck crash

BRAMAN, OK (KAY COUNTY) – More information has been released on yesterday’s fatal car accident in Kay County, located in northern Oklahoma, which led to the death of a teenager and the injury of two other people.

This is an update to a previous news story.

According to KFOR, the crash happened on I-35 S, near Braman, at about 3:20 p.m., when a 2010 Jeep Wrangler was struck from behind by a 2005 Volvo semi-truck. The impact sent the Jeep off the roadway and caused it to overturn.

The driver and two passengers, all three from Stanley, North Dakota, were ejected during the crash. One of those, a 14-year-old, died at the scene.

The 45-year-old driver suffered critical injuries to the head and internal torso. He and his 40-year-old female passenger were airlifted to the hospital in Wichita, Kansas.

The 40-year-old passenger sustained non-critical head and internal torso wounds.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
