Anadarko man killed in truck accident on Hwy 62 in Grady County

VERDEN, OK (GRADY COUNTY) – A 37-year-old man was killed after he crashed into a semi-truck in Grady County yesterday morning, according to KFOR.

The accident occurred near Verden on Highway 62, west of County Road 2770, at 6:38 a.m., as 37-year-old Anadarko resident Thomas Mauchahty-Ware was reportedly operating his vehicle at a high rate of speed.

Mauchahty-Ware, driving a 2016 Ford Fiesta, changed lanes, then crashed into the back of a 2012 Mack semi-truck. He was pinned within the wreckage for about two hours and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck driver was not reported as injured.

Mauchahty-Ware was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash at this time.

22-year-old killed in multi-truck collision near Muskogee

MUSKOGEE, OK – A 22-year-old man was killed in a multi-truck collision on Highway 351 on Friday afternoon, according to KTUL.

The accident happened south of Muskogee on OK-351 at about 1 p.m., when a 2003 Trail Liner semi-truck, a 2019 Peterbilt semi-truck, and a 2004 Dodge pickup truck, operated by 22-year-old Steven Reaves, collided.

Reaves, a resident of Vian, was pinned within the wreckage for about 20 minutes before being extricated using the jaws of life.

Despite the rescue, Reaves died at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.

Truck driver killed in rollover accident in Major County

ISABELLA, OK (MAJOR COUNTY) – A truck driver was killed in a rollover accident in Major County yesterday morning, according to KTUL News.

The accident happened on Highway 8, near Isabella, at 10:33 a.m., when 55-year-old Lahoma man Thomas Warren Graham, reportedly made a turn at a high rate of speed.

Graham lost control of the semi-truck, and the vehicle overturned off the side of the road.

He died at the scene.

No other people were reported as injured in the crash.

24-year-old Kansas man killed after collision with truck near Blackwell

BRAMAN, OK (KAY COUNTY) – A 24-year-old man from Kansas was killed after he collided with a semi-truck in Kay County during a snowstorm this afternoon, according to KFOR.

The accident happened two miles south of Braman on northbound I-35 at about 3 p.m., when 24-year-old Chevin Webb, of Manhattan, Kansas, struck a slick patch of roadway and lost control of a 2013 Honda Accord.

He crashed into the bridge railing, and then spun out until the vehicle came to rest in the middle of the roadway.

The Honda was struck by the driver of a 2019 Freightliner 18-wheeler truck who was unable to stop in time.

Webb died at the scene.

The truck driver, who was not immediately identified, was not reported as hurt.

Slick, icy weather may have played a role in the crash. The official cause of the accident was listed as Webb’s reportedly driving too fast for conditions.

At least two people hurt in fiery, multi-truck crash on Turner Tnpk

ARCADIA, OK (OKLAHOMA COUNTY) – Injuries were reported after a multiple-truck accident involving at least one vehicle fire on the Turner Turnpike this afternoon, according to KFOR.

The crash occurred northeast of Oklahoma City on the Turner Turnpike, near Post Road, at 3:14 p.m., when multiple vehicles collided. Several semi-trucks were reportedly involved, with at least one of them catching fire as a result.

Authorities reported that at least two people were hurt in the crash and taken to the hospital for treatment. Their identities were not released.

The exact circumstances of the accident were not released, though it is likely that the winter weather event may have played a role.

Authorities are diverting traffic to the Kickapoo Turnpike and I-35 as they work the crash.

Drivers were advised to avoid the area, as traffic delays and road closures remained likely.

Police respond to a semitruck rollover accident in OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Oklahoma City police responded to a rollover accident involving a semitruck early this morning, according to KOCO.

The crash happened at around 4 a.m. near the eastbound I-40 off-ramp to westbound I-44, just north of the Oklahoma River.

Officials say three people were in the semitruck. Two passengers were taken to the hospital in stable condition and the driver is uninjured.

Police believe that the driver may have fallen asleep behind the wheel.
