DEL CITY, OK – According to the official twitter page for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, a crash on Interstate 40 East caused damage to the roadway that required emergency repairs on Monday morning.
The tweet alerting the crash and road closure was posted at 11:02 a.m., stating that I-40 East was narrowed to a single lane near the South Sooner Road intersection.
DEL CITY: EB I-40 is narrowed to one lane at Sooner Rd (mm 156A) for a crash, and the EB I-40 off-ramp at Sooner Rd (mm 156A) will be closed from 12 pm to 2 pm Monday for emergency repairs from an earlier crash Monday.

The partial road closure is expected to last until 2 p.m. while crews repair the road.
