Injury collision reported at SW 44th St and S Cemetery Rd in Canadian County

CANADIAN CO., – A motor-vehicle collision resulting in one or more injuries was reported at the intersection of Southwest 44th Street and South Cemetery Road on Friday night, according to the Total Traffic OKC twitter page.

The account tweeted about the accident at 6:35 p.m. on Jan. 15th.

It is currently unclear what caused the crash and how many vehicles were involved.

Suspect involved in hit-and-run accident on Hwy 412 arrested

TULSA, OK – Police tracked down and arrested a man who fled the scene of an overnight accident on Highway 412 west near South 65th West Avenue on Tuesday, reports KTUL.

According to authorities, the crash occurred around midnight Tuesday when a Ford F-150 traveling westbound on Hwy 412 collided with the center median of the highway near S 65th W Ave. Following the accident, the driver fled on foot while a passenger remained injured in the vehicle.

A police helicopter then located the fleeing suspect, leading to his arrest.

At this time, the identities of the driver and passenger have not been released. The current condition of the passenger is also unclear.

5-year-old child killed in head-on crash in Lawton

LAWTON, OK – One child was killed and another hospitalized following a T-bone crash that took place east of Lawton on Monday afternoon.

According to KWSO, the accident occurred at about 12:30 p.m. near the intersection of Northeast 60th Street and Cache Road. Troopers with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol say the driver of an SUV failed to stop at a stop sign and was t-boned by a green truck traveling east on Cache Rd.

Two children in the truck were rushed to OU Medical Center. One of them, a five-year-old girl, died a short time later. The other child, a 4-year-old girl, is recovering from a critical head injury.

No details regarding the drivers involved in the accident have been released at this time.

At least one person injured on I-35 accident in SE OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – At least one person was injured in a collision in southeast Oklahoma City yesterday afternoon, according to a tweet by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The accident happened on southbound I-35, near SE 15th St and was reported by OHP at 2:38 p.m.

OHP reported that at least one person was injured in the crash, though they did not specify the identity of the victim or victims or the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Authorities closed the center lanes of the interstate for the cleanup and investigation of the accident, which was cleared from the roadway a little less than six hours later, at 8:21 p.m.

Man dies following weekend crash in Mustang

MUSTANG, OK – Officials in Mustang are investigating the cause of a collision that left one man dead near Mustang Road Sunday night.

According to KFOR, the incident occurred near State Highway 152 and Mustang Road. Witnesses say the driver of a silver Pontiac was traveling at a high rate of speed when it collided with both an orange Jeep and then a utility pole.

The driver of the Pontiac was pronounced dead at the scene. His female passenger was rushed to the hospital in serious condition.

The single occupant in the Jeep refused transport and was picked up by another individual.

Both vehicles sustained significant damage as a result of the crash.

Oklahoma city woman killed in Seminole County Crash

SEMINOLE COUNTY, OK – Officials responded to a fatal collision in Seminole County early Wednesday morning.

According to OKC Fox, 58-year-old Danette Duncan was driving in the northbound lanes of Oklahoma 9-A shortly before 5:30 a.m. when she lost control of her vehicle struck a tree on the side of the roadway.

Paramedics pronounced Duncan deceased at the scene of the crash. Details regarding what may have caused her to veer off the side of the roadway remain under investigation as of Thursday evening.

12-year-old killed in Grady County collision

GRADY COUNTY, OK – Officials with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol have confirmed the death of a 12-year-old child following a multi-vehicle collision in Grady County Thursday.

According to KFOR, the incident happened at about 10:52 a.m. along U.S. 81 about 3 miles from Minco. Police say the driver of a Ford F-150 crossed in front of the Dodge Avenger carrying the boy and two other occupants causing the crash.

A 40-year-old woman who was driving the Avenger remains in critical condition after being pinned inside the vehicle for 30 minutes following the crash. The other passenger, a 15-year-old, is recovering in fair condition at the University of Oklahoma Medical Center.

The occupant inside the F-150 was treated and released from Grady County Memorial Hosptial.

Officials believe everyone involved in the crash was wearing their seatbelt except for the boy who was killed.

No charges have been filed in this case as of Friday evening.
