Recall issued for Build-A-Bear teddy bear

Build-A-Bear Workshop announced last week that it will be recalling nearly 300,000 teddy bears sold between April and December of this year.

The “Colorful Hearts Teddy Bear” was sold in stores and online to consumers in the United States and Canada. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the eyes on the bear could become loose and fall out, creating a choking hazard for young children. No injuries associated with the recall have been reported.

If consumers have purchased the “Colorful Hearts Teddy Bear,” which is white with colorful hearts on the body, they can return it to any Build-A-Bear Workshop store location in exchange for a coupon for any stuffed animal.
