By 2 p.m., officials were on the scene of the accident that happened on I-40 eastbound, near Reno Avenue, and resulted in the truck spilling fuel over the roadway.

Payne County collision closes State Highway 33

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A collision on State Highway 33 near Sangre Road forced authorities to close the highway to traffic at around 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, as reported by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol’s Twitter page.

Drivers traveling at speeds as high as 146 mph

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Oklahoma City police spoke out Monday afternoon concerning a recent increase in unsafe speeds on Oklahoma City roads, as reported by KFOR.

Oklahoma City has turned into what the Oklahoma City Highway Patrol is calling the “Wild West.” As Covid-19 continues to keep many at home and off the roads, Oklahoma City Police have reported vehicles going at speeds over 100 mph. In one case, a motorbike was reported to be traveling 146 mph.

One person dead in Edmond train accident

EDMOND, OK – One person died in a train accident on Friday afternoon, reports KFOR.

The accident occurred near East 15th Street and Broadway and involved a pedestrian who was on the train tracks.

The victim died instantly, according to investigators.

The crash is currently under investigation by Edmond authorities.

Man injured in motorcycle accident on Highway 74

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A man was injured on Friday evening in a single-vehicle motorcycle accident on Oklahoma Highway 74 following an act of reckless driving, according to Enid News.

At 5:57 p.m., Enid man Evan Downey, 35, popped a wheelie while driving a 2016 Ducati Hypermotard, and then lost control of the motorcycle. He was admitted to the hospital in stable condition due to leg injuries. Downey was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The crash occurred six miles south of Crescent in Logan County on OK-74.

The cause of the crash was listed as “reckless driving,” according to a police report.
