Fire near Industrial Heights injures at least one person

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A house fire injured at least one person Thursday afternoon near the Industrial Heights community of Oklahoma City, reports News 9.

The fire was reported on the 2700 block of SW 34th St around 1:30 p.m. The injured person refused treatment and denied hospitalization.

Update: New information released about deadly Halloween hit-and-run

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Video of a fatal accident on Halloween night was released to police and media today.

This an update to a recent blog post about the incident.

Alivia Gutierrez was killed Sunday after being hit by a car following a Halloween party held outside a salon. Gutierrez was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect, Miguel Fuentes-Ramirez, was later arrested.

According to police, Fuentes-Ramirez ran over Guiterrez multiple times before he fled the scene. News 9 acquired a cellphone video of the incident. Several witnesses had footage of Fuentes-Ramirez at the crime scene near Southwest 59th Street and South Douglas Avenue.

A friend of Gutierrez’s spoke with KFOR and expressed her feelings about the accident, saying “You didn’t just hit her, but you hit her and took off.”

Police responding to injury accident in Central OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Officers are responding to an injury accident on Northwest 12th Street and northbound North Pennsylvania Avenue.

The accident was reported at 2:45 p.m. on Nov. 3, according to the Response & Accident Tracker.

Fire in Northwest Oklahoma City spreads between homes

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A fire near Northwest 46th Street and North Western Avenue spread to two homes early Monday morning.

Firefighters responding to the blaze have not yet determined a cause. However, according to News on 6, it may have involved gasoline cans placed near the home’s generator. There was damage to the exterior of both homes involved in the fire.

No one appears to have been injured in the fire.
