OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Officials responded to two separate accidents within one block of each other south of Oklahoma City Monday afternoon.

According to the Oklahoma City response and accident tracker, the crashes occurred just after 1:00 p.m. along South Western Avenue at the intersections with Southwest 57th and Southwest 58th Streets.

Officials are reporting injuries as a result of the cash near 58th St, but no injuries in 57th St. accident. Whether or not the two accidents are related has yet to be determined. GERY, OK – Officials in Geary responded to a highway crash with injuries along Interstate 40 westbound Thursday night.

Afternoon crash slows traffic on I-40

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A crash on Interstate 40 near the Clarence E. Page Municipal Airport forced officials to detour motorists Thursday afternoon.

According to the Oklahoma City Total Traffic Twitter page, the accident occurred around 2:30 p.m. on I-4o westbound just before the Banner Road exit.

Authorities directed motorists to find an alternate route and avoid this portion of I-44 in general while lanes were narrowed. No injuries were reported as a result of the crash.

Person drives vehicle into Lake Overholser

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A person drove their vehicle into Lake Overholser on Wednesday for reasons that are unknown at this time, according to a story by News on 6.

The accident happened on East Overholser Drive and Northwest 36th Street that night. Witnesses alerted law enforcement of the incident after overhearing a loud noise.

It is not known at this time what caused the driver of the vehicle to crash into the lake.

The driver is reportedly not seriously injured.

Cyclist hit by car in north Oklahoma City
