Motorcyclist in Del Mar Laning hospitalized after striking attenuator

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A motorcyclist was hospitalized after slamming into an attenuator on Sunday afternoon, reports Guthrie News Page.

Gary L Staley, 60, was riding a Harley Davidson on I-40 around 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

As Staley got onto the ramp from westbound I-40 to southbound I-35, he lost control of the motorcycle, left the road, and slammed into an attenuator.

The impact launched Staley 71 ft into a bridge support. Staley was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.

He was hospitalized at OU Medical Center with injuries to both his external and internal trunk, head, arms, and legs.

Crash kills one near Broken Arrow

BROKEN ARROW, OK – A crash near Broken Arrow killed a man on Wednesday, reports News On 6.

Tegan Donovan Rawlins, 22, was driving on the Muskogee Turnpike at around 3:30 when he strayed off the road and into a bridge.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol are investigating the incident.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – At least one person was injured during a crash on I-35 this morning which led to partial road closures, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred on southbound I-35, near 10th Street, at about 10:15 a.m., when two vehicles collided.

At least one person was hurt in the crash, though their identity and condition were not immediately available.

The roadway was partially blocked as a result.

ATV crash in Spencer kills rider

SPENCER, OK – An ATV crash near the North Canadian River killed a man Sunday night, reports KOKH and News 9.

According to the fire department, the accident happened on the 13000 Block of North Westminster. A man riding an ATV got pinned by it in a sand bar. The man’s died despite his friends attempts to revive him.

Emergency crews were dispatched to I-240 around 7:50 a.m. The accident slowed traffic from near the Eastern Ave exit until Bryant Ave.  The cause of the accident is not known.

The collision happened on southbound I-44, near SW 59th Street at about 11:35 p.m.

The right lane was partially blocked as a result of the accident. By 4:02 a.m., the crash had been cleared from the roadway.

The cause of the accident was not immediately available.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Injuries have been reported following a collision that took place on eastbound I-40 at the exit to Portland Avenue this morning, Total Traffic Network reports.
