According to the Oklahoma City response and accident tracker, the incident occurred near the intersection of Northwest 10th Street and North Ann Arbour Avenue shortly after 2:30 p.m.

1 killed, 1 injured in collision on Kilpatrick Turnpike

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Officials with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol are investigating the cause of a crash that killed one individual and injured another on the Kilpatrick Turnpike Thursday night.

According to News 9, the collision occurred on the turnpike near North May Avenue. Police say one man was killed after he collided with a tree. A second vehicle was also involved in the accident, although it is unclear how. A passenger in that vehicle received minor injuries.

Both individuals were adult males, possibly in their 30’s. Their identities are being withheld pending notification of the families.

Impaired driver collides with police car in Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Oklahoma City Police took one man into custody after he ran his vehicle into a police car northwest of Oklahoma City Tuesday night.

The incident happened near the intersection of Northwest 23rd Street and North May Avenue at about 11:00 p.m., according to News 9.

Authorities believe the suspect was huffing a type of aerosol chemical before the collision. He was apparently parked in the same spot earlier in the day. When police checked on him for the second time, the man refused to exit his truck.

While attempting to coerce the man out of his car, he put the vehicle in reverse and rammed into the front of a police cruiser. Officers were then able to subdue and arrest him using a “less lethal” force.

Details regarding the identity of the man involved have not been released as of Wednesday afternoon.

Police searching for driver who left the scene of an injury crash in OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – One person was hospitalized after a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 44 Monday night in which the driver fled the scene.

According to News 9, the incident occurred near the intersection of I-44 and Northwest 39th Street in the late hours of the night. Police say the driver was attempting to exit the freeway when he collided with a barrier.

Authorities discovered a female victim who appeared to be under the influence. The driver allegedly ran away from the scene on foot. Their identity, as well as the identity of the female victim, have not yet been released.

Police pursuit ends in Northwest Oklahoma City crash

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Two Oklahoma City police cruisers were involved in a collision following a high-speed pursuit northwest of downtown Thursday morning.

According to KOCO, the chase began sometime before noon on northwest 40th Street. The pursuit lasted several miles and reached speeds up to 80 miles per hour.

The chase ended near the intersection of Northwest 60th Street and North Quapah Avenue. Three suspects were found inside the vehicle.

Officials have reported at least one police officer crashed during the incident.

Collision blocks lane along I-240

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Officials with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol were forced to close off at least one lane along Interstate 240 following a collision early Wednesday evening.

According to the Official Twitter page of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the incident occurred in the eastbound lanes of I-240 wast of Interstate 35 shortly before 3:45 p.m.

No injuries have been reported as a result of the collision. However, the inside lane of I-240 was blocked for a couple of hours causing significant delays for commuters during Wednesday evening’s rush-hour.

The wreckage has since been cleared and the lane reopened.
