Man arrested for DUI after crashing car into home in NW OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A man is facing possible DUI charges after his car collided with a home in northwest Oklahoma City late last night, according to KFOR.

The accident happened at about 10:30 p.m. in the 6600 block of Bayberry Drive when a driver, who has yet to be publicly identified, collided with a home.

No injuries were reported, as the house was vacant at the time of the crash. The collision, however, caused unspecified structural damage to the building.

The suspect was arrested under suspicion of driving while intoxicated. He was not reported as injured.

Update: 19-year-old victim dies as result of Kilpatrick Tnpk accident, driver ID’d

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The drivers in yesterday’s wrong-way collision on Kilpatrick Turnpike have been identified, with one of the victims, a 19-year-old, dying from injuries sustained during the crash.

According to News on 6, one of the victims was Marissa Murrow, 19, who was sent to the hospital with critical injuries following the late-night crash near I-40. She later died there of her injuries.

The wrong-way driver, 39-year-old Malcolm Penny, was also taken to the hospital with severe wounds. He was later taken into police custody and is facing charges of driving while intoxicated.

Murrow was a member of the Sigma Kappa sorority, which is raising money for her family’s medical and memorial expenses. They have already raised over $12,000 of their $15,000 goal.

26-year-old OKC man dead in I-240 collision

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – An Oklahoma City man is dead following an accident on Interstate 240 yesterday that was possibly related to alcohol, according to an article by KFOR.

The incident occurred yesterday afternoon near Eastern Avenue and I-240, when 26-year-old Nicholas Chamberlain, of Oklahoma City, swerved to avoid a traffic delay. He then collided with the back of another vehicle, driven by 47-year-old Gabriel Parra.

Chamberlain died at the scene of injuries to the head and the leg, according to authorities.

Evidence of alcohol was found inside his vehicle.

Parra was not injured in the accident.
