Overnight house fire in SW OKC displaces family

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Officials with the Oklahoma City Fire Department say one family has been left without a home after an overnight fire in southwest Oklahoma City on Thursday, reports News on 6.

Firefighters responded to the fire at a home near Reno Avenue and South Mustang Road overnight Thursday. They say the fire was started by a heat lamp left by the family to keep their dog warm while they were not home.

Unfortunately, the fire could not be contained and completely destroyed the home. At this time, no injuries have been reported.
