Fire crews respond to fatal house fire in NE OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Firefighters responded to a fatal house fire in the Dodson Height area this morning, KFOR reports.

Emergency responders were alerted to a conflagration near the intersection of N Bryant Avenue and NE 18th Street shortly before 5 a.m. Firefighters arrived at the scene and conducted an initial sweep of the house, but could not find anyone present. However, a second search led them to a male resident who was suffering from severe smoke inhalation.

Paramedics transported the man to a nearby hospital, where he died later that moment.

Fire crews were able to extinguish the blaze, but not before it damaged half the structure. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.

Fire crews extinguish northwest Oklahoma City house fire

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – OKC firefighters extinguished a house fire in northwest Oklahoma City Thursday night, reports News on 9.

Officials say fire crews responded to Northwest 29th Street and North Ann Arbor Avenue, where the fire began in the garage of a nearby house.

The fire was extinguished but also caused a water main break that was contained by firefighters.

Fortunately, those inside were able to exit the home and there were no reported injuries.

Lightning strike sets home on fire in OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – An Oklahoma City home was struck by lightning and caught fire late Tuesday evening.

KFOR reported that lightning struck the home at Northeast 122nd and Air Depot. The lightning strike hit a decorative spire that was on the home. Flames were contained to the attic. Though one person was inside when the lightning strike happened, no injuries were reported.

No injuries reported in house fire near intersection in The Village area

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Multiple agencies responded to a house fire in northwest Oklahoma City this afternoon, according to News on 6.

The incident began at about 4:30 p.m. in The Village area near Lake Hefner, near N May Ave and W Britton Rd when a person reported that their coworker’s home was on fire.

Smoke was pouring from the rooftop when firefighters arrived at the scene.

Luckily, nobody was injured in the blaze, as the resident was not at home when the fire occurred.

Southeast Oklahoma City house destroyed in fire

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A house in Southeast Oklahoma City was destroyed after being completely engulfed in flames early Friday morning.

According to News on 6, the blaze was reported before 6:00 a.m. near the intersection of Southeast 15th Street and Central Avenue near Rotary Playground Park.

The home is considered vacant. However, Oklahoma City Fire officials believe a homeless person was living inside of the structure recently. No one was believed to sustain any injuries in the blaze.

House Fire reported in Oklahoma City

Residential fire reported in Southwest Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Fire officials in Oklahoma City responded to a house fire in a residential neighborhood near the Will Rogers World Airport Wednesday evening.

According to KOKH, the fire was reported at about 6:00 p.m. within the 5400 block of Monte Drive southwest of Oklahoma City. The fire is believed to have started in the kitchen of the home.

All occupants of the house were able to get out safely and the fire was extinguished quickly.
