Claremore man killed in single-motorcycle crash

ROGERS CO., OK – A man from Claremore was killed after crashing his motorcycle on a busy freeway Sunday afternoon.

According to News on 6, the accident took place at about 3:30 p.m. along State Highway 66.

First responders believe 53-year-old David Horton lost control of his motorcycle for unknown reasons and left the roadway, striking the center median.

Horton sustained a massive head injury and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Motorcyclist hospitalized after west OKC crash

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – One person was rushed to the hospital following a motorcycle accident in west Oklahoma City on Tuesday.

According to KOCO, the accident occurred sometime before 6:30 p.m. along Reno Avenue near the intersection with May Avenue.

It is unclear what led up to the crash at this time. However, photos from the scene depict a single motorcycle lying in the roadway.

Motorcyclist hospitalized following collision in Midwest City

MIDWEST CITY, OK – Officials with the Midwest City Police Department are looking into what may have caused an overnight collision that sent a motorcyclist to the hospital Tuesday.

According to News on 6, the crash occurred near the intersection of Northeast 23rd Street and North Douglas Boulevard sometime before 3:30 a.m.

Both a motorcyclist and the driver of an SUV involved in the crash sustained injuries as a result. The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital while the occupant in the SUV was treated for minor injuries and released from the scene.

Details regarding what caused the incident remain under investigation as of Tuesday evening. The motorcyclist’s condition is also unknown at this time.

Several Troopers injured in motorcade crash for another fallen officer

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Multiple Troopers have been hospitalized in critical condition following a motorcycle crash Thursday morning during a procession for a Tulsa Officer killed in the line of duty.

According to News 9, an SUV pulled out in front of the motorcade along the Kilpatrick Turnpike westbound in Oklahoma City. Emergency services transported all of the officers to local hospitals. No word on their conditions has been released yet.

The motorcade was transporting the body of Sgt. Craig Johnson who was fatally shot following a Tulsa traffic stop earlier in the week.

UPDATE: 26-Year-Old motorcyclist killed in Oklhaoma City crash

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The motorcyclist involved in a crash along Interstate 44 Tuesday evening has died, according to KOKH.

26-year-old Romey Ivey of Louisiana died in the hospital after being thrown from his motorcycle near the Airport Road on-ramp just after 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Authorities say the cause of death was from severe head trauma after Ivey was thrown 20 feet from his motorcycle in the crash. No word on if he was wearing any protective gear at the time of the crash.
