Fuel spill on I-40 causes traffic delays, closures in SE OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A fuel spill caused traffic delays on the interstate in southeast Oklahoma City today, according to News on 6.

The crash happened on eastbound I-40, near Choctaw Road, before 7:15 p.m.

Authorities closed one lane of the interstate and the ramp from I-40 to Choctaw as they worked the spill.

There is no word at this time as to what caused the incident.

Collision blocking outside lane of I-240 east near Shields Blvd

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol’s official traffic twitter feed reported that officers responded to a collision blocking the far right lane of Interstate 240 east on Friday morning.

The crash was reported at 7:07 a.m. Friday east of the intersection of Shields Boulevard and I-240 east.

Accident with injuries reported near Top of the Town

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Emergency services responded to a collision with injuries southeast of downtown Oklahoma City late this afternoon.

According to the city’s response tracker, the crash occurred around 4 p.m. in the 1500 block of SE 15th Street, just east of the street’s intersection with of I-35. We do not have any details yet about the cause of the crash or how many people were injured.

Semi-truck accident on I-35 leads to road closures

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – No injuries were reported following a truck accident on I-35 yesterday afternoon that caused authorities to close a portion of the highway, according to KFOR.

The accident happened on I-35 N, near NE 50th Street and mile marker 132A, when a semi-truck rolled over onto its side, blocking part of the highway.

No injuries were reported from the accident.

Officials closed the interstate between NE 36th Street and NE 50th for the cleanup and investigation of the collision. They advised travelers to avoid the area, as traffic delays were highly likely.

The cause of the crash has not yet been released.

Two collisions reported in north Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK -Two separate collisions within 20 minutes of each other have been reported north of Oklahoma City Wednesday morning.
According to the Oklahoma City response and accident tracker, the first incident occurred a the intersection of Northwest 63rd Street and Northwest Expressway at about 10:05 a.m. The second accident happened several blocks away at the 4400 block of North Meridian Avenue.
No injuries have been reported as a result of the accidents. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide details as they become available.

The incident was reported to authorities around 2:30 p.m. on Monday. It is likely to shut down the intersection and portions of both streets.

A non-injury accident was reported in Newalla at the intersection of SE 59th Street and S Harrah Road at 10:00 a.m. Another non-injury accident was reported 13200 N Western Ave at 10:24 a.m., and a third occurred at the intersection of S Western Avenue and SW 44th Street at 10:30 a.m.
