Truck driver injured after colliding with two homes and another vehicle

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A truck driver was injured Saturday after crashing a semi-truck into two homes and a vehicle on Catamaran Drive in northwest Oklahoma City, according to KOCO News.

The accident happened in the 3700 block of Catamaran Drive at about 4:20 p.m. when a semi-truck pulled off the Kilpatrick Turnpike.

The truck collided with a single-family home, a duplex, and another vehicle before coming to a stop. Nobody was inside the homes or the car when the crash happened.

The driver was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.

Accident involving semi-truck leads to injury, fuel spill

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – At least one person was injured in an accident involving a semi-truck on Interstate 40 yesterday afternoon, according to a report by News on 6.

By 2 p.m., officials were on the scene of the accident that happened on I-40 eastbound, near Reno Avenue, and resulted in the truck spilling fuel over the roadway.

There are no details available at this time as to the identity or condition of the victim or victims, and no word on the circumstances that led to the crash.

Truck fire closes I-44 on ramp Thursday morning

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A truck accident caught fire on a busy portion of I-44 shutting down multiple lanes early Thursday morning.

According to KFOR, officials responded to an accident on the westbound on-ramp of I-44 near M.L. King Avenue before 5 a.m. The on-ramp, as well as the right lane of I-44 West, were closed during rush hour traffic Thursday morning.

No injuries are being reported as a result of the fire and an investigation as to what may have caused the accident is underway.

The on-ramp and right lane reopened early Thursday afternoon as the wreckage has been cleared.

Woman in critical condition after crashing into trailer

HARPER, OK – A woman struck a truck’s trailer Monday and was pinned in her vehicle for 25 minutes before emergency responders could free her, the Woodward News reports.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 53-year-old Eva Jo Batman failed to yield at a stop sign and struck the trailer of Kenneth Henry Dees at the intersection of Highway 64 and County Road 174.

Batman’s vehicle was trapped under the trailer for 25 minutes before she was rescued by Laverne and Rosston Fire Departments.

Batman was taken to OU Medical Center by Air Evac. Dees was not injured in the collision.
