I-40 accident between several motorcycles

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – An accident involving several motorcycles and an automobile closed all lanes of I-40 on Tuesday, according to Oklahoma News4.

The accident occurred on I-40 near Pennsylvania and May Avenues.

Multiple ambulances were at the scene.

Two cars crash after running red light

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Two cars crashed Friday at the intersection of Water avenue and East Downing street, according to the Firehouse.

A Toyota Corolla ran a red light and collided with a Ford Fusion as they both proceeded through the intersection at the same time.

EMS, and Fire and Rescue were reported at the scene. No reports of injury.

4 Students Injured in Oklahoma School Bus Crash

Four students were injured in an Oklahoma City school bus accident on Thursday.

According to officials with the Oklahoma City Police Department, the school bus was heading to Emerson Alternative School shortly before 8:00 a.m. Thursday when the accident occurred. Police say the bus driver had exited Interstate 40 and was traveling north on Classen Avenue when the bus struck a wall. There were six people, including the driver, on-board the bus at the time of the crash.

According to Emergency Medical Services Authority Spokeswoman Lara O’Leary, the four injured students, a 16 year-old and three 17 year-old students, were transported by ambulance to two area hospitals. O’Leary said the students were listed in good condition. A fifth student on the bus was not injured in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation by the Oklahoma City Police Department.

Two Killed in Oklahoma Car Accident

A driver and passenger were killed on New Year’s Day in what appears to be a single-car accident. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when the vehicle left a county road near Woodward, Oklahoma and rolled over. The crash occurred around 1:30 am on Saturday.

48 year-old Leonard Davidson and 39 year-old Norma Reyes were both killed in the crash. Neither was wearing a seat belt. Davidson died at the scene and Reyes later passed at the OU Medical Center from severe injuries.

Authorities ID Man Killed in Oklahoma Motor Vehicle Accident

Authorities have identified a man who was killed in an Oklahoma car accident Tuesday.

According to officials with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 21 year-old Cameron Goforth, of Guthrie, was killed in a car accident Tuesday. Police say the accident occurred approximately a half-mile north of State Highway 51. The crash reportedly went unnoticed for over 30 minutes. Someone alerted authorities after driving over a piece of a metal warning sign.

According to Trooper Steve Burrows, Goforths vehicle plunged approximately 20 feet from the roadway into Stillwater Creek, which had about three feet of water. It is unclear why the car veered off the road, Burrows said.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.

Woman Killed, 2 Injured in Oklahoma City Motor Vehicle Accident

An Oklahoma motor vehicle accident Friday claimed the life of an Arcadia woman.

According to officials with the Oklahoma State Police, 26 year-old Amanda Degand was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 40 west of Tucumcari Friday. Police say the accident occurred shortly before 7:00 a.m. Officers learned that 25 year-old Roney Meyers, of Oklahoma City, was traveling east on Interstate 40 near mile marker 311 in a 2008 Toyota Prius when he lost control of the vehicle. Meyers left the roadway and struck a guardrail on the north side of the Intersate. He then crossed back over I-40 and struck another guardrail. The Pruis rolled numerous times.

During the rollover, Amanda Degand was thrown from the vehicle. She later died as a result of her injuries. She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Meyers and another passenger, 37 year-old Charles Degrand, were transported to Dan C. Trigg Memorial Hospital in Quay County for treatment. Information on the nature or extent of their injuries was not available.

1 pedestrian and 1 motorcyclist killed Saturday

Two men died in an Oklahoma City pedestrian accident Saturday night.  Authorities say that a 19-year-old was lying down in a county road when he was hit by a car at approximately 10:30 p.m.  The man sustained head injuries and internal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.  The 21-year-old Norman man who was driving the vehicle went uninjured.

A motorcyclist was also killed in a head-on collision with a car the same night.  Both vehicles were crossing a one-lane wooden bridge when the vehicles struck each other.  The biker, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown nearly 70 feet from the scene of impact and sustained a fatal head injury.  He was also pronounced dead at the scene.  No one in the car that struck the motorcycle was injured.
