Motorcyclist hospitalized following collision in Midwest City

MIDWEST CITY, OK – Officials with the Midwest City Police Department are looking into what may have caused an overnight collision that sent a motorcyclist to the hospital Tuesday.

According to News on 6, the crash occurred near the intersection of Northeast 23rd Street and North Douglas Boulevard sometime before 3:30 a.m.

Both a motorcyclist and the driver of an SUV involved in the crash sustained injuries as a result. The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital while the occupant in the SUV was treated for minor injuries and released from the scene.

Details regarding what caused the incident remain under investigation as of Tuesday evening. The motorcyclist’s condition is also unknown at this time.

Motorcyclist killed in Logan County crash

LOGAN COUNTY, OK – One man was killed in a high-speed motorcycle crash in Local County Saturday evening.

The crash occurred near the intersection with US Highway 77 and Country Road 74 near Guthrie at about 6:30 p.m., according to KFOR.

Paul Fitzpatrick, 53, of Mulhall was traveling northbound at a high rate of speed when he was unable to negotiate a turn and crashed into an embankment.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol has ruled the cause of the death to be excessive speed.

One killed, two injured in South Tulsa motorcycle crash

TULSA, OK – Officials in Tulsa have reported that one man was killed following a motorcycle crash south of downtown late Wednesday night.

A 29-year-old motorcyclist was driving at an extremely high rate of speed on 71st Street when another vehicle pulled out in front of him. The car overturned following the collision, sending the driver and one passenger to a local hospital, FOX23 reports.

The motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced dead.

Sayre man dead in I-40 motorcycle accident

BECKHAM COUNTY, OK – One man is dead following a motorcycle accident on Interstate 40 this morning in Beckham County, according to a report by KFOR.

The victim has been identified as William C. Lowe, 45, of Sayre. Lowe crashed a 1995 Honda motorcycle on I-40, about three miles west of Elk City, at around 5:20 a.m.

The crash occurred when Lowe attempted a left turn. He lost control of the vehicle and traveled off the right side of the road.

Lowe was not wearing his helmet, according to the report.

The road was not wet at the time of the crash, and the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
