BOUSE JUNCTION, OK – A collision between a semi truck and a pickup at the intersection of U.S. 281 and U.S. 412 left two men hospitalized Wednesday, reports the Moore American.
Jay Mahan, 64, was driving his 2017 International semi truck on US 281 Wednesday afternoon when he failed to yield to 32-year-old Jesse Nelson, whose Dodge Ram 2500 was traveling east on U.S. 412. Mahan struck Nelson’s pickup in the road. Both vehicles came to a rest on U.S. 412.
The Oklahoma Highway patrol reports that Nelson was taken to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, and later transported to OU Medical Center.
Mahan was taken to St. Mary’s. He was treated and released.

TULSA, OK – A man somehow survived after he crashed his truck into a support beam carried by an 18-wheeler on Friday, according to an article by KOKH.
The accident occurred Friday morning in Tulsa on the Broken Arrow Expressway near 129th East Avenue, when an 18-wheeler truck was hauling an oversized load, which included a support beam. It turned left on the roadway whenever the collision happened. The support beam crashed into the window, mere inches from hitting the truck driver’s face.
According to the article, police were “shocked” the truck driver was not killed. He was mildly injured but is expected to be okay.
The truck driver was also given a ticket for speeding-related conditions.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A semi and a truck were caught in an accident Thursday morning in which the semi flipped onto its side, as told by News9.
The driver of the semi was caught inside. Rescue crews managed to free him
The truck involved in the accident was found in a ditch with the bed smashed.
Both drivers and one passenger were taken to the hospital.
The westbound lanes remained closed for a few hours while crews cleaned up.

KINGFISHER, OK. – A 34-year-old man was killed when his vehicle crashed into an 18-wheeler west of Kingfisher, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The victim was identified as Kevin Cornelius Branch. The Enid News & Eagle reports that Branch was heading westbound in his 2010 Ford Focus on Oklahoma 33 when he failed to negotiate a curve and drifted across the centerline into oncoming traffic at around 6:20 a.m. He struck the driver’s side of a 2020 Peterbuilt semi-truck driven by 32-year-old Mikel Dane Bateson, of Perry.
Branch was airlifted to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where he later died from his injuries. Bateson was taken to Mercy Hospital in Kingfisher where he was treated and later released.
