Man hospitalized after overnight house fire in North Tulsa

TULSA, OK – A man was taken to the hospital following an overnight house fire in North Tulsa on Wednesday.

According to KTUL, firefighters were called to the scene at about 3 a.m. near the intersection of 46th Street and South Peoria Avenue.

The single occupant in the home, an unidentified man, suffered injuries due to smoke inhalation. He was hospitalized but is expected to recover.

Investigators say a space heater may have sparked the blaze.

Woman, son killed in east Tulsa residential fire

TULSA, OK – A woman and her son were both killed as the result of a residential fire in east Tulsa overnight on Tuesday.

According to KTUL, the fire broke out at a home near the intersection of 21st Place and 129th East Avenue.

Firefighters worked with neighbors to locate the two occupants in the home. However, they were too late as 70-year-old Donna Monday and her 21-year-old son, Darien, were both pronocuned dead at the scene.

1 injured following Tulsa house fire

TULSA, OK – Firefighters in Tulsa responded to the scene of a major house fire west of downtown Monday afternoon.

According to Fox 23 Tulsa, the blaze broke out shortly after 3:30 p.m. at a home near the Tulsa Hills Shopping Center near the intersection of 71st Street and Elwood Avenue.

Fire investigators believe the blaze started in the fireplace and spread to the rest of the home. One person was hurt, but the extent of their injuries remains unknown.
