TULSA, OK – A driver was taken into custody after colliding with two Tulsa police vehicles Tuesday morning.

According to KRMG, officers were responding to a prior collision on the Broken Arrow Expressway near 145th Avenue when they noticed a black Subaru coming towards them at a high rate of speed.

Officers attempted to get the driver’s attention but were unsuccessful and jumped over the concrete wall to avoid being hit.

The Subaru then careened into an unmarked police car, a police motorcycle, and a third vehicle. Fortunately, no officers were injured in the crash. However, the driver responsible was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The driver claims he was scrolling through his phone when the accident occurred. He has been charged with a number of crimes in connection to the crash, including DUI.
