Alleged drunk driver injures passenger after crashing on OK-10

TAHLEQUAH, OK – A person was injured by an alleged drunk driver on OK-10 Wednesday night, KTUL reports.

Christina Adair, 38, was driving north on OK-10 when she failed to negotiate a curve. Her vehicle went off-road, plowed through a fence and into a tree.

Adair’s passenger, 36-year-old Randall Sixkiller, suffered trunk head and trunk injuries. He was transported in fair condition to St. John Medical Center in Tulsa via life flight. Adair refused medical treatment at the scene.

The exact time and location of the crash are unclear at this time.


Driver near Tahlequah crashes into group of trees, dies

TAHLEQUAH, OK – A man died Monday morning after crashing into some trees, reports Muskogee Phoenix.

At around 12:30 a.m. Billy Tidwell, 75, was driving Nissan Versa south on 545 Rd, near Tahlequah, when he missed a curve, strayed off the road, and into a group of trees. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Tidwell was pinned down by the group of trees he slammed into for an unknown amount of time. He was eventually freed from the trees by emergency crews and hospitalized at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa. He died there from his injuries at 9:17 a.m.

Three-vehicle crash kills elderly man near Tahlequah

KEYS, OK – A three-vehicle crash near Tahlequah took the life of a 72-year-old man Tuesday, reports Tulsa World.

The crash occurred around 5:50 p.m. at the intersection of Oklahoma 82 and Horseshoe Bend Road. David Tharp, 72, was driving a 1993 Ford pickup truck without air bags. Tharp was also not wearing a seat belt. He died at the scene after being pinned in his vehicle for about 15 minutes.

In addition to Tharp, his passenger, a 71-year-old, and another driver, 17, were also hospitalized following the crash. The third driver involved, a 50-year-old man was uninjured.

Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the crash. Rainy weather and wet roadways may have played a roll in the accident.
