TULSA, OK – A 16-year-old driver of a white sedan struck and injured a motorcyclist on 61st St near Hwy 169 Monday, News on 6 reports.
The incident began when the teen tried to merge onto Hwy 169 from 81st St and became agitated when a female driver would not allow him in.
The woman then went behind the teen to write down his license plate number. The teen sped up and got off onto 61st St, where he struck a motorcyclist who was about to make the left turn.
First responders hospitalized the motorcyclist. His current condition is unclear, though officials expect him to live.
Police say they will cite the driver for reckless driving and other offenses.
