Single fatality reported in wrong-way collision on Broken Arrow Expwy.

BROKEN ARROW, OK –  Police in Broken Arrow were forced to shut down all lanes on Oklahoma 51 following a fatal wrong-way collision involving a semi-truck Monday.

According to Tulsa World, the accident took place within the 100 block of OK-51 near the intersection with Elm Place.

Investigators say the driver in an unspecified passenger vehicle was traveling east in the westbound lanes of the roadway when it collided head-on with the semi.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene. However, their identity is being withheld pending further investigation into the crash.

Pickup truck strikes Tulsa man riding horse

TULSA, OK – A man from Tulsa was sent to the hospital after being struck by a pickup trucking while riding a horse Monday morning.

According to News on 6, the incident took place when Matthew Sheets was riding his horse along 66th Street just outside of Lewis.

Troopers say Sheets was riding in a dark portion of the roadway when he was hit. He was transported to a local hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Downtown Tulsa collision between motorhome and car leaves one motorist dead

TULSA, OK – FOX 23 reports that one motorist is dead following a collision between a motorhome and a car in downtown Tulsa on Friday evening.

According to Tulsa police, the crash occurred near the intersection of East 8th Street and South Cincinnati Avenue. The driver of a car traveling eastbound on E 8th St drove through a red light and was hit by a motorhome heading southbound on S Cincinnati Ave.

the driver of the car was stuck inside the wrecked vehicle and required rescue. After being extricated, the driver was unconscious and transported to St. John’s hospital, where they later passed away from their injuries.

Authorities say the family in the motorhome was visiting Tulsa and no one was harmed.

The collision also damaged an electrical pole, causing power outages in the area.

36-year-old man killed in crash on U.S. 75 in Tulsa

TULSA, OK – A 36-year-old Tulsa man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. 75 on Monday, reports Tulsa World.

According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Kody Clowdus was traveling north on U.S. 75 in a 2003 Ford Crown Victoria when his vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a guardrail north of 56th Street North around 10 p.m. on Monday.

Troopers said Clowdus was stuck in the wrecked vehicle for around 2 hours. Turley Fire Department crews extricated him from the vehicle but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Suspect crashes through Tulsa thrift store, flees scene

TULSA, OK – Officials in Tulsa are seeking the public’s help in identifying the individual responsible for crashing through the front window of a Tulsa thrift store Friday.

According to News on 6, the accident occurred at the Family and Children’s Services Thrift Store near the intersection of 11th Street and Utica Ave at about 1:30 a.m.

Police say the unidentified driver careened into the front window demolishing both the men’s and toy sections and nearly missing someone who was sleeping inside.

The driver then immediately backed out and fled the scene leaving behind only a Buick emblem in the wreckage.

Suspect arrested after police chase, crash in Tulsa

TULSA, OK – One man was arrested following a police chase along I-44 in Tulsa late Wednesday evening.

According to News 9, the chase began when Troopers with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol attempted to stop the man for spending on I-44 near Yale sometime before 8:00 p.m.

The collision occurred along the ramp from I-44 to Broken Arrow. Police immediately took the man into custody and transported him to the hospital to be evaluated.

No other injuries have been reported as a result of the crash.

Teen injured following rollover crash in Tulsa

TULSA, OK – A teenager sustained minor injuries after her Jeep rolled over east of Tulsa Tuesday night.

According to News 9, the collision occurred near the intersection of East 31st Street and 257th East Avenue. Officials believe the 19-year-old driver lost control of her Jeep Wrangler after being distracted by the radio. The Jeep flipped over and came to rest on the side of the road.

Aside from some minor cuts and bruises, the driver did not sustain any serious injuries.

Tulsa driver flees the scene of stolen vehicle crash

TULSA, OK – Investigators with the Tulsa Police Department are seeking the public’s help in identifying the individuals who fled the scene after crashing a stolen SUV early Wednesday morning.

According to News on 6, 15th and 21st Streets were closed to a few hours before 5:00 a.m. after discovering an SUV had collided with a utility pole.

One female occupant who was inside the vehicle at the time of the crash remained on the scene. They were arrested on unrelated warrants.

An investigation is underway into the other occupants of the vehicle and the cause of the crash. The precise time and location of the incident have not been made available as of yet.
