Tulsa crash causes rush-hour traffic jam

TULSA, OK – Tulsa commuters faced significant delays following a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 169 Thursday morning.

According to KJRH, the accident occurred along Highway 169 near the 41st Street exit. Police say the driver of a Jeep lost control on the freeway causing a string of crashes involving several other vehicles who were unable to stop in time.

Luckily, no serious injuries were sustained as a result of the collision. However, the crash closed all but one lane causing major delays for commuters during Thursday morning’s rush-hour.

TULSA, OK – Emergency services in Tulsa have reported injuries resulting from a collision late Wednesday night.

According to News 9, the accident occurred near the intersection of 118th Street and Riverside Parkway around midnight. Investigators say a vehicle traveling southbound crossed the center line and collided with an SUV.

Both occupants were transported to a local hospital to be treated for injuries not expected to be life-threatening.

Police identify victim in fatal Tulsa pedestrian crash

TULSA, OK – Officials with the Tulsa Police Department have identified the pedestrian killed in an early August collision.

According to Tulsa World, 57-year-old Graham Cross was struck by two vehicles while pushing a shopping cart north in the southbound lanes of Memorial drive near the intersection with 63rd street on August 7th.

The first driver to hit Cross stopped to render assistance to the victim and cooperate with the police. The second motorist fled the scene and has not been identified.

While Cross is ultimately responsible for the incident, the second driver could still face charges for fleeing the scene.

Tulsa collision blocks freeway during rush-hour

TULSA, OK – A collision on Interstate 44 caused major traffic delays for Tulsa commuters throughout Tuesday morning’s rush-hour.

The collision occurred within the westbound lanes of I-44 near 33rd West Avenue, according to KJRH. Officials with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol say the driver lost control of his vehicle on the wet roads and collided with the center median.

TULSA, OK – Two people were sent to the hospital following a collision involving a stolen vehicle in Tulsa Monday morning.

According to News on 6, the chase began when troopers with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol attempted to pull over a vehicle that had altered tags. The driver attempted to evade police until he collided with a red Chevrolet Camaro at the intersection of Peoria Avenue and Pine Place.

Following the crash, the driver, 25-year-old Jerome Monore attempted to flee on foot but was caught by officers shortly after. The driver of the Camero was transported to a local hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

One killed in head-on collision in Tulsa

TULSA, OK – Officials with the Tulsa Police Department have reported one fatality following a head-on collision Monday night.

The crash happened near the intersection of East Pine Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at about 9:00 p.m., according to News on 6.

Police say a female driving a Buick was traveling southbound on MLK Blvd. when she entered the oncoming lane, striking a Ford Edge head-on.

The driver of the Buick was rushed to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The other driver was taken to the hospital as well, their injuries remain unknown at this time.

Officials question driver involved in Tulsa duplex crash

TULSA, OK – Investigators with the Tulsa Police department are looking into what may have caused a motorist to collide with a duplex near downtown.

According to News on 6, the crash occurred at a home near the intersection of 21st Street and Memorial Drive. A small child was inside the house at the time of the crash but sustained no injuries as a result.
