UPDATE: Victim identified in fatal east Tulsa crash

TULSA, OK – Troopers have identified the man killed in a fatal collision in East Tulsa Thursday morning.

According to KTUL, 45-year-old Mark R. Owens, of Tulsa, was killed after crashing at about 3:45 a.m. along I-244 near I-44.

Troopers say Owens’ vehicle veered off the roadway for unknown reasons and struck a sign before colliding with a bridge support. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other injuries were reported as a result of the crash.

Tulsa man killed in collision on I-244

TULSA, OK – A man from Tulsa died as the result of a single-vehicle crash on I-244 early-morning crash on Thursday.

According to Fox 23 Tulsa, the incident occurred sometime before 6 a.m. near the exit to West 51st Street South.

Bartlesville man killed in Vera crash

VERA, OK – A man from Bartlesville was killed Monday evening following a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 75.

According to Bartlesville Radio, the accident took place at about 7:30 p.m. along the freeway near the intersection with 4000 Road, about 4 miles west of Vera.

Troopers say a Volkswagen Golf, driven by 56-year-old Scotty Hazelwood, collided with a 2000 Ford carrying three occupants.

Hazelwood was flown to St Francis Hospital in Tulsa, were he was pronounced dead a short time later. The driver in the Ford, 29-year-old Kevin Pryce, and both of his passengers sustained unknown injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Tulsa police officer hospitalized after multi-vehicle crash on Broken Arrow Expressway

TULSA, OK – A police officer was taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash on the Broken Arrow Expressway Thursday morning.

According to KTUL, the accident took place as the officer was merging onto the freeway near Highway 169.

Dashcam video shows the officer’s cruiser entering the freeway and colliding with a truck that was pulling a trailer.

The officer was taken to a nearby hospital in unknown condition. The driver in the truck was shaken up but uninjured.

2 hurt after car crashes into Tulsa hair salon

TULSA, OK – Two people sustained injuries as the result of a single-vehicle crash at a Tulsa business Monday morning.

According to News on 6, the accident took place sometime before 11:30 a.m. at the Michael Brother’s hair salon near E 12th Street and South Harvard Ave.

Police have not released details regarding the cause of the crash as of yet. However, at least two people sustained minor injuries as a result.

Victim identified in fatal high-speed Tulsa crash

TULSA, OK – Police in Tulsa have released the identity of the man who died as the result of a single-vehicle collision overnight Thursday.

According to KTUL, the incident occurred along Highway 169 between 31st Street and 41st Street.

Witnesses say a silver vehicle had been weaving in and out of traffic at a high rate of speed before it veered off the roadway and collided with a tree. Its driver was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified as Aaron Blackwell.

No one else was involved in the fatal crash.

Driver crashes through church fence in Tulsa rollover crash

TULSA, OK – Tulsa police were called to the scene of a single-vehicle collision at a local church early Wednesday morning.

According to KTUL, the accident occurred at about 3 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in north Tulsa.

First responders say the unidentified driver lost control of their vehicle for unknown reasons and crashed into the fence before taking out the railing and some steps before coming to rest on its roof. The church itself was not struck by the vehicle.

The driver involved was uninjured. It is unclear if they will face any charges in connection to the incident.

1 dead, 2 injured following head-on collision near Eufaula

EUFAULA, OK – One man died and two others were rushed to Tulsa hospitals after a head-on collision along with Oklahoma 9 on Thursday.

According to Tulsa World, 20-year-old Jacob Borba was traveling east on the freeway when an oncoming vehicle crossed into his lane and struck Borba’s vehicle head-on.

Borba died at the scene of the crash. His 20-year-old male passenger was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition.

The driver responsible for the crash, a 41-year-old man from Eufaula was also flown to the hospital. It is still unclear what caused him to drift into the oncoming lane at this time.

TULSA, OK – Police and fire officials were called to the scene of a major multi-vehicle collision in the Woodcrest neighborhood early Friday morning.

According to KTUL, the accident occurred at about 1:30 a.m. where 71st Street intersects with Lewis Avenue.

Police say the driver of an unspecified vehicle ran through a red light and was struck by an oncoming vehicle.

Two occupants in the at-fault vehicle were transported to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported as a result of the crash.

BROKEN ARROW, OK –  Police in Broken Arrow were forced to shut down all lanes on Oklahoma 51 following a fatal wrong-way collision involving a semi-truck Monday.

According to Tulsa World, the accident took place within the 100 block of OK-51 near the intersection with Elm Place.

Investigators say the driver in an unspecified passenger vehicle was traveling east in the westbound lanes of the roadway when it collided head-on with the semi.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene. However, their identity is being withheld pending further investigation into the crash.
