TULSA, OK – Officials with the Tulsa Fire Department say the The Bros. Houligan restaurant near the intersection of East 15th Street and South Lewis Avenue was damaged after a fire spread from they alley to the kitchen on Tuesday morning, reports News on 6.
According to Jason Gilkison, District Chief of the Tulsa Fire Department, the fire spread to the kitchen area from the alley as the restaurant’s gas supply fueled the fire. Firefighters contained the flames by shutting off the gas, blowing out the smoke, and extinguishing hidden fires in the walls and behind kitchen equipment. The restaurant’s electricity was also shut off.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported from the fire.
Several parts of The Bros. Houligan restaurant were damaged and it is not yet clear when the restaurant will be able to reopen.
