OKC man dead after being pinned for 2 hours in Okmulgee County crash

HENRYETTA, OK (OKMULGEE COUNTY) – A man from Oklahoma City died after being pinned inside his vehicle for over two hours following a crash in Okmulgee County this morning, according to KTUL.

The accident happened on westbound I-40 near Henryetta when 37-year-old Oklahoma City man Leslye Moyd lost control of his vehicle.

The vehicle went off the left side of the roadway, and Moyd overcorrected the vehicle, which caused it to roll over multiple times before colliding with a tree.

The car came to a stop on the left side of the vehicle, pinning Moyd within the wreckage for about two hours.

Despite fire officials using the jaws of life to extricate him, Moyd died at the scene. His cause of death is listed as severe internal injuries.

No other injuries were reported in the collision, which continues to be investigated at this time.

Man injured after Camaro collides with tree in Sand Springs

SAND SPRINGS, OK (TULSA COUNTY) – A 34-year-old man was injured and pinned beneath the wreckage of a car following a single-vehicle crash west of Tulsa.

According to the Tulsa World, the accident happened yesterday in Sand Springs on Hwy 51, near Avery Drive, when Sand Springs man Robert Nance, operating a 1996 Chevrolet Camaro, lost control of his vehicle.

The Camaro went off the side of the roadway before colliding with a tree and pinning Nance inside for about 15 minutes.

Nance was taken to the hospital in Tulsa for the treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, including those to the leg and torso.

No other people were reported as injured in the accident.

At least one person dead in fiery, five-vehicle crash in Tulsa

TULSA, OK – At least one person is dead following a five-vehicle collision in Tulsa last night, according to a report from News 9.

The accident happened at about 8:30 p.m. near Admiral Blvd and Utica Ave, in the Cherokee Heights area.

While the exact circumstances of the collision are unclear at this time, police have revealed that three of the five involved vehicles had the right of way.

At least one person is dead as a result of the collision.

It is unknown at this time if there are any other injuries.

One of the vehicles was engulfed in flames after the crash.

A silver SUV and a dark pickup truck were involved in the collision, which remains under investigation at this time.

Tulsa woman suffers multiple injuries in Washington Co. rollover accident

RAMONA, OK (WASHINGTON COUNTY) – A woman was airlifted to the hospital with multiple injuries after she crashed her car while attempting to avoid a truck in Washington County yesterday morning, according to Bartlesville Radio.

The crash happened on Hwy 75 near County Rd W3800 at about 9:35 a.m. when 28-year-old Tulsa woman Karina Robertson overcorrected her vehicle after attempting to avoid a truck.

The vehicle, a 1999 Mercury Mountaineer SUV, then rolled over multiple times, ejecting Robertson. She was airlifted to a hospital in Tulsa with multiple serious injuries, including those to the head, limbs, and internal organs.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

Man facing multiple charges following police pursuit in Tulsa

TULSA, OK – A man is in custody following a police pursuit Friday night, according to News on 6.

The incident began when an officer attempted to stop suspect James Valdez after running his license plate and discovering it did not match the vehicle. Instead of stopping for the officer, Valdez sped away, driving the wrong way at one point, and running multiple traffic lights.

Valdez and a female passenger, who was not identified, left the vehicle near the intersection of Memorial and 31st Street before fleeing the scene on foot.

The two were taken into police custody soon after. While in custody, Valdez attempted to escape by slipping free of his handcuffs with the help of his passenger, but was unsuccessful. He was taken in later on multiple charges, including possession of methamphetamine, obstruction of justice, and evading the police.

No injuries were reported during the chase.

Woman facing arson charges in Tulsa fire that injured one

TULSA, OK – A woman is facing arson charges related to an apartment fire Sunday that injured one man and displaced nine people in Tulsa, according to KJRH.

The fire began before 7:40 a.m. near the intersection of East 11th Street and Highway 169 at an apartment complex.

The blaze led to the injury of one man, a resident, who was burned on the arm as he escaped the building.

According to investigators, the fire was intentionally started at multiple locations by a resident, allegedly Cassia Anderson, who was found carrying lighters with her.

Anderson is facing multiple charges including first-degree arson.

A total of nine people, including two children, were displaced in the fire and are being assisted by the Red Cross.

30-year-old woman drowns in Tulsa County swimming accident

SAND SPRINGS, OK (TULSA COUNTY) – A woman drowned in Keystone Lake yesterday afternoon after jumping into the lake and not resurfacing, according to KFOR.

The victim, 30-year-old Lindsey Thomas, of Edmond, was swimming near a bank of the Keystone Dam area of the lake sometime before 3:55 p.m. She jumped from the rocks and into the water.

When she did not surface, a friend of hers went to retrieve her. Unfortunately, she died at the scene of the accident at approximately 3:56 p.m.

Police identify victim in fatal Tulsa crash

TULSA, OK – Officials in Tulsa have identified the man who died following a high-speed crash along a busy Tulsa freeway Thursday.

According to KTUL, Jimmy Jackson, 57, was killed along Highway 169 near the Pine Street intersection when he lost control of his Corvette, striking a concrete barrier and then another vehicle. The corvette subsequently burst into flames along the side of the freeway.

Police say the accident occurred when Johnson was attempting to change lanes at a high rate of speed.

A passenger in the other vehicle involved, an elderly woman, was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Mannford man, 55, dead in Tulsa motorcycle accident

TULSA, OK – A motorcyclist is dead following an accident in Tulsa on State Highway 97, according to a report by News on 6.

The accident happened today at the intersection of OK-97 and West 55th Street when an SUV failed to stop at a stop sign. The driver of the SUV pulled out in front of a motorcycle and struck and killed its driver. 

The victim is Mannford man John F. George, 55, who was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The occupants of SUV, a driver and two passengers, were not hurt.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.

Cyclist hit by unmarked TCSO vehicle near BOK Ctr in Tulsa

TULSA, OK – A man on a bicycle was struck by an unmarked Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office vehicle near the BOK Center on Thursday, where President Donald Trump held a rally today.

According to a video posted by News on 6, the accident happened just before 7:30 a.m. on South Denver Avenue and West 3rd Street when the cyclist was struck by the TCSO SUV.

According to the video, glare from the morning sun could have played a part in the accident.

The cyclist was able to walk following the accident but was treated by EMS at the scene.

There was minor damage to the vehicle, including a broken mirror and a dent on the passenger side.
