Cattle truck rolls over near 81st St. in Tulsa

TULSA, OK – Police in Tulsa responded to the scene of an overturned cattle truck near the Arkansas River Tuesday morning.

According to KTUL, the accident occurred near along 81st Street near the intersection with Elwood Avenue.

Responding officers believe the semi had a mechanical issue. The unidentified driver lost control and rolled the vehicle onto its side, blocking both lanes.

No injuries were reported as a result of the crash. However, crews worked to safely clear spilled diesel fuel for some time afterward.

No cattle were inside the truck at the time of the collision.

Semi carrying liquid nitrogen rolls over after suspected DUI crash in Tulsa

TULSA, OK –  Police in Tulsa believe a drunk driver is to blame for causing a tractor-trailer carrying a dangerous chemical to overturn on US-75 Wednesday.

According to Fox 23 Tulsa, the accident occurred along the freeway near the I-44 interchange.

Police say the unidentified driver of a passenger vehicle made an unsafe maneuver causing the tractor-trailer to lose control and overturn, spilling liquid nitrogen across the roadway.

It is unclear whether the suspect actually struck the truck or not at this time. However, they were taken into custody at the scene.

The roadway was shut down for several hours while emergency crews worked to clear the area.

Highway 20 blocked by Jackknifed semi-truck

TULSA, OK – Troopers with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol were forced to block all lanes on I-20 after a semi-truck jackknifed Monday morning.

According to KTUL, the accident occurred along the freeway just west of Claremore.

Responding officers say the driver overcorrected causing the Domino’s semi to veer off the road and jackknife in the embankment. All lanes were blocked for some time following the incident, but have since been reopened.

Fortunately, the driver was uninjured as a result.

Tulsa man killed in Mayes County semi collision

MAYES COUNTY, OK – A man was killed and a woman hospitalized following a semi vs. auto collision near Adair Tuesday evening.

According to KOAM, the accident occurred at about 6:38 p.m. along US-69 near West 435 Road.

Police say 57-year-old Mickey Hamilton of Tulsa ran through a stop sign and was struck by a semi-truck in the intersection. Hamilton and his passenger, 74-year-old Carolyn Hamilton were both pinned inside their vehicle for an unknown amount of time.

Both occupants were extracted by firefighters with the Adair Fire Department and rushed to St. John Medical Center where Mickey Hamilton was pronounced dead. His passenger was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the semi was unhurt.

1 hospitalized following Tulsa trucking accident

TULSA, OK – One person was transported to the hospital following a rollover trucking accident along the Broke Arrow Expressway early Tuesday morning.

According to News on 6, the driver lost control of the truck and crashed into a barrier in the westbound lanes of the expressway, just east of Sheridan, at about 3:00 a.m. The impact caused the truck to separate from the trailer and roll onto its side.

Fire officials were able to pull the driver through the window and transport him to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

One dead after being struck by a semi in Tulsa

According to KTUL, Shane Pittser was killed after being struck by a semi-truck while attempting to cross Interstate 244 close to U.S. Highway 75.
