At least one person hurt in New Year’s crash west of OKC

YUKON, OK (CANADIAN COUNTY) – At least one person was hurt in a car accident in Yukon, west of Oklahoma City, on New Year’s Day, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred on eastbound I-40, near N Czech Hall Road at around 5 p.m.

At least one person was injured during the accident, though the exact number of victims and the extent of their injuries was not released.

OHP reported that the inside and middle lanes of the interstate were blocked as a result of the crash.

The cause of the accident was not immediately available.
