Teen injured after falling asleep at wheel in Springdale

TULSA, OK – Police were dispatched to an injury accident near the intersection of Apache St and N Lewis Ave Wednesday morning, according to News on Six.

At around 3 a.m. Wednesday morning, a 17-year-old driver fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into a steel pole.

The teen driver and passenger were outside the vehicle by the time police arrived. Officers believe one of the teens may have broken their leg in the crash.
