GRADY COUNTY, OK — A 13-year-old Lawton boy died late Saturday after a two-vehicle wreck that injured two others on Interstate 44 near Amber, reports KSWO.

The fatal collision occurred on the westbound highway at mile marker 89 shortly before midnight.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, two adults and two juvenile passengers were traveling in one vehicle at the same time a man was driving a Dodge Ram pickup truck at a high rate of speed. At one point, the Dodge Ram hit the rear driver’s side of the first vehicle, causing the victim vehicle to run off the roadway and roll several times.

The teenage boy was pronounced deceased at the scene by Medical Examiners.

Two other occupants in the victim vehicle were rushed to a local hospital. Authorities said one patient was listed in critical condition while another was listed in fair condition.

Officials said the driver of the Ram was not injured.

At this time, no charges or citations have been reported. An investigation remains underway.
