A teenager from McAlester was killed in a Saturday morning crash in Pittsburg County.
According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Charles Allen was traveling north on Bache Road shortly before 7:30 a.m. when he failed to stop at a stop sign at U.S. 270. Allen struck a westbound vehicle driven by Bradly Hutson.
State troopers said the impact of the crash caused Allen’s 14 year-old son, Jacob, to be ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both Charles Allen and Hutson were transported to McAlester Regional Health Center where they were treated for their injuries and released.
The drivers were wearing their seatbelts, but according to a report from Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Jacob Allen was not.
