Toddler hit, injured by driver while running in Elgin driveway

COMANCHE COUNTY, OK — A 2-year-old boy suffered a head injury last Friday, May 27, when he was struck by a car in an Elgin driveway, reports KOCO.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the toddler was running between two parked cars when he was hit by a driver who was reversing out of the area.

Officials said the driver had been unable to see the child prior to the incident.

The young victim was airlifted to Oklahoma Children’s Hospital OU Health with injuries to his head. As of this writing, no updates on his condition have been disclosed.

It was not immediately clear whether any charges are expected to be filed.
