Troopers on the scene of injury accident in OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Troopers with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol were forced to shut down multiple lanes on I-240 following an accident with injuries Tuesday night.

According to a tweet by the OHP, the accident occurred at about 7:54 p.m. within the westbound lanes of I-240 near the exit to Pennsylvania Avenue.

The cause of the collision and the severity of injuries sustained as a result remains unclear. However, the westbound lanes were blocked for some time while investigators worked at the scene.
