Truck crashes into car, kills the car’s driver

GUTHRIE, OK – A truck crashed into a car at Hwy 33 and Broadway on Wednesday, killing the driver of the fusion, reports KFOR.

Emergency crews were dispatched to Hwy 33 and Broadway around 4 p.m. after receiving reports of a crash.

Investigators say the truck, a Chevy Silverado, was traveling east on Hwy 33 when it strayed across the center line into the westbound lane, crashing into a Ford Fusion in the process.

The Fusion was driven by Michael David McFarland II, 30. McFarland was taken to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.

Alcohol may have played a role in the accident, according to authorities. The incident is still under investigation.
