Truck driver injured after colliding with bridge

NINNEKAH, OK – The driver of a semi-truck was hospitalized after crashing into a support bridge Tuesday.

According to the Gardy County Express Star, the accident occurred on the H.E. Bailey Turnpike not far from Nonnekah.

32-year-old Donovan Pickett was driving on the turnpike when he reached for something in the cab and swerved into a guardrail, then a support beam on the bridge.

Pickett was flown to OU Medical Center to be treated for potentially serious leg and internal injuries.
