TULSA, OK – Authorities say a Tulsa man was charged with second-degree murder for a fatal DUI accident in November 2019, reports News on 6.

At the time of the accident, Hector Hernandez was reportedly driving under the influence and was fleeing the scene of an earlier accident in Broken Arrow. He then crashed head-on into an SUV, killing Jenifer Holt.

Due to the recent SCOTUS decision on tribal jurisdiction, and Hernandez’s tribal citizenship, all state charges were dismissed before federal prosecutors picked up the case.

We will update this blog if more details are made public.
