Two killed, several injured in Oklahoma City police chase, crash

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Officials in Oklahoma City have reported two fatalities, and a number of injuries following a stolen car pursuit and crash Friday morning.

According to KOCO, authorities received reports of a stolen vehicle shortly before 11:00 a.m. along I-35. The driver was spotted by a Moore Police officer who attempted to pull them over, causing the driver to flee reaching speeds over 100 mph.

Shortly after the chase began, the suspect vehicle exited the freeway at South 66th Street and continued along the service road. They eventually ran a red light at Southeast 59th Street resulting in a four-car pileup in the intersection.

The driver then bailed out of the car and attempted to run across the highway when they were fatally struck by an oncoming car.

Three individuals were transported to local hospitals as a result of the crash. One unidentified woman died as a result of her injuries.
