Update: 19-year-old victim dies as result of Kilpatrick Tnpk accident, driver ID’d

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The drivers in yesterday’s wrong-way collision on Kilpatrick Turnpike have been identified, with one of the victims, a 19-year-old, dying from injuries sustained during the crash.

According to News on 6, one of the victims was Marissa Murrow, 19, who was sent to the hospital with critical injuries following the late-night crash near I-40. She later died there of her injuries.

The wrong-way driver, 39-year-old Malcolm Penny, was also taken to the hospital with severe wounds. He was later taken into police custody and is facing charges of driving while intoxicated.

Murrow was a member of the Sigma Kappa sorority, which is raising money for her family’s medical and memorial expenses. They have already raised over $12,000 of their $15,000 goal.
