OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — A 43-year-old woman was taken into custody last Thursday evening after a rollover crash that killed one person in northeast Oklahoma City, reports FOX25.

The fatal collision occurred at the corner of Northeast 70th Street and North Laird Street on July 14, at around 9:00 p.m.

According to Oklahoma City Police, the suspect was driving northbound on North Laird when she collided with an eastbound Jeep at the intersection.

The impact of the wreck caused the Jeep to roll and eject the victim, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Officials said the driver of the striking vehicle was evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE), who suspected impairment. The suspect was arrested for DUI involving a fatality collision after her blood was drawn.

No further details have been shared at this time, but authorities noted the intersection did not have a stoplight or stop sign.
