WETUMKA, OK (HUGHES COUNTY) – A man was killed after his tractor was rear-ended by a box truck in an accident in Hughes County on New Year’s Eve, according to KFOR.
The collision occurred about 5.5 miles west of Wetumka, on OK-9, between State Highway 27 and State Highway 48, at about 8:15 a.m.
A 72-year-old man from Norman, operating a 2020 International box truck, collided with the rear of a John Deere 6430 tractor, operated by 64-year-old Wetumka man Dallas Pryor.
The tractor was forced off the side of the road and rolled over before coming to a stop.
Pryor died at the scene.
The truck driver was not reported as injured.
Authorities continue to investigate the collision at this time.
