Vehicle fire causes delays on I-35 near Edmond

EDMOND, OK – Emergency crews in northeast Oklahoma City were called to the scene of a vehicle fire on I-35 early Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Oklahoma City response and accident tracker, the fire broke out within the 13300 block of North I-35 just north of the Turner Turnpike overpass.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. However, no injuries have been reported as a direct result of the incident.

Commuters have been advised to avoid this portion of I-35 as delays are likely throughout Tuesday afternoon.
