Victim identified in Tulsa pedestrian hit-and-run

TULSA, OK – Police in Tulsa have identified the woman hospitalized following a hit-and-run collision near a gas station on Highway 169 Tuesday.

According to News on 6, Kimberly Melton was walking near the Quick Trip gas station along Highway 169 near 11th Street when she was struck by a vehicle pulling out of the gas station.

Police say Melton was dragged about 15 feet before the driver got out of the vehicle and pulled her from underneath, then drove off.

Melton was rushed to the hospital where she underwent surgery on her arm, which was crushed under the vehicle.

No further details with regard to the identity of the driver involved have been released at this time.
