Victims of fatal crash in SW OKC identified

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The two people killed in a crash in southwest Oklahoma City on Wednesday night have been identified.

Officers responded to the crash at the intersection of Western Avenue and Southwest 149th Street at about 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening. They confirmed the crash was fatal but did not release more information.

News 9 has since released more information on the incident. Officials say Michelle Wynd was stopped at a traffic light while heading northbound on Western Avenue. A second motorist traveling northbound collided at a high speed with the rear end of Wynd’s car. He has since been identified as Jason Wilson.

Wynd was subsequently trapped as her vehicle caught fire. Both she and Wilson were declared deceased at the scene.
