Woman killed, teenager and 2 others injured in Carter County accident

WILSON, OK (CARTER COUNTY) – A woman was killed and three people, including a teenager, were injured in a two-vehicle collision in Carter County last night, according to KOKH.

The collision occurred near the intersection of Highway 70 and State Highway 76, when a 16-year-old driver made a left turn onto SH-76.

She was then struck by another driver that was headed westbound on Hwy 70.

36-year-old victim Dyrenda Ankney, a passenger in the teenage driver’s vehicle, died at the scene.

The 16-year-old driver was taken to the hospital for the treatment of non-critical injuries.

Two occupants of the second vehicle sustained minor wounds in the collision. Their identities were not made immediately available.
