OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A train hit a pedestrian at Reno Ave and North Meridian Ave Thursday, News 9 reports.

Following the collision, first responders transported the pedestrian to an area hospital. Their current condition is unclear at this time.

Man hospitalized after falling in front of train in Norman

NORMAN, OK – A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a passing train in Norman early yesterday morning, according to information from KOCO News.

The collision happened at Duffy Street at around 2 a.m. when a pedestrian standing near the railroad tracks fell in front of an oncoming train.

He was then taken to the hospital with non-critical injuries.

It is unclear if anyone on the train was hurt in the accident.

4 hospitalized after Heartland Flyer train crashes into car carrier trailer

MARIETTA, OK – Four people were hospitalized after the Heartland Flyer train crashed into an auto carrier trailer stuck on the tracks in Marietta on Friday night, according to KFOR.

The accident happened on U.S. Highway 77 and Addington Bend Road at about 7 p.m., after a carrier trailer had gotten stuck on the tracks and could not be moved.

The train conductors were not able to stop the train in time, despite the attempts of emergency personnel to warn them.

The trailer was split in two on impact, with vehicles sent flying in multiple directions.

Four occupants of the train were taken to the hospital for the treatment of non-critical injuries.

The driver of the carrier trailer was not hurt in the accident.

22-year-old dump truck driver fatally struck by train in Canadian County

OKARCHE, OK (CANADIAN COUNTY) – A 22-year-old truck driver was fatally struck by a train in Canadian County yesterday, according to KFOR.

The crash occurred on 234th Street NW, near Okarche, when the driver of a 2001 Freightliner dump truck attempted to drive across a set of railroad tracks. The truck was then struck by a Union Pacific train, which pushed the vehicle about a third of a mile before stopping.

22-year-old Warr Acres man Hugo J. Barrera, who was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt at the time, was ejected from the vehicle.

Barrera was taken to the hospital in Kingfisher, where he was later pronounced dead.

Train strikes vehicle in north Oklahoma City, hospitalizes 3

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Three people were injured after their vehicle was struck by a train Wednesday afternoon, reports News 9.

The vehicle was occupied by two adults and one teenager. It collided with the train near the intersection of NW 122nd St and Santa Fe Ave around 12:30 p.m.

All three individuals were hospitalized. The teenager was hospitalized in critical condition. The current condition of the two adults is not known at this time.

Firefighters rescue injured semi-truck driver in northern Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Firefighters used the Jaws of life to rescue an injured driver Friday, reports KFOR.

Officials with the fire department say that a pickup truck and a semi-truck collided with one another at the intersection of Lincoln and Memorial Rd.

The driver was injured but responsive as firefighters extricated him using the Jaws of Life. His current condition is not known at this time.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A man was struck and killed while lying on train tracks in Oklahoma City early Tuesday morning.

According to KFOR, the incident took place at about 7:45 p.m. along the tracks near the intersection of Melrose Lane and North Council Road.

Responding officers say the unidentified man was sleeping between the tracks and sat up as the train approached. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Driver arrested after colliding with moving train in Tulsa

TULSA, OK – Officials with the Tulsa Police Department have one man in custody after he drove directly into a moving train early Tuesday morning.

According to KVOO, the collision occurred near the intersection of Southwest Boulevard and 17th Street at about 4:25 a.m. Police say the driver rolled slowly through the railroad crossing and hit the train which was moving at a very slow rate of speed.

The unidentified man was transported to a local hospital and subsequently arrested for allegedly driving under the influence as well as other traffic violations.

Pedestrian killed in Oklahoma City train accident

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – One person was killed after being struck by a train in northwest Oklahoma City early Friday morning.

According to KOCO, the incident was reported shortly before 4:00 a.m. near the intersection of Northwest 100th Street and Garnett Drive.

Police say the operator of the train attempted to stop by using the horn and emergency brake. However, the individual failed to move from the tracks before being fatally struck.

Man killed in train accident in Garvin County

PAULS VALLEY, OK (GARVIN COUNTY) – A pedestrian is dead following a train accident near US Highway 77 on Friday, reports KFOR.

The accident happened just after 3:45 a.m. about four miles south of Pauls Valley, which is around 58 miles south of Oklahoma City.

The victim is Joshua A. Lorenz, 35, who was hit by a train heading north.

There is no further information at this time regarding the circumstances of the crash.
